Nucleus allows for granular permissions on a per-project basis. Because of this, it is necessary to create connectors on a per-project basis. However, sometimes it is necessary to create the same connector for multiple projects, so Nucleus allows for easy cloning of connectors from one project to another to make the process as simple as possible.
Nucleus provides 2 options for cloning connectors.
Option 1: Clone a Connector from one Project to Another
Note: This assumes that you have a connector already set up in one project.
This allows you to take one connector that you set up in one project and then to add that same connector to as many other projects as you want, all at one time. This works well when an organization wants to put one connector in all their projects.
To clone a connector, do the following:
1. Navigate into the project where your connector is set up.
2. Navigate to Project Administration > Connectors to see your list of connectors
3. Click the Copy action icon in the row of the connector you wish to clone.
4. Use the checkboxes to select which projects you want to clone that connector to
You're all done! That connector has been cloned to all the projects you selected!
Option 2: Clone Connectors from Another Project
Note: This assumes that you have a connector already set up in one project.
This allows you to take all the connectors from one project and import them into your current project. This works well when adding one project and needing to replicate the same connectors as exist in another project.
To import connectors from another project, do the following:
1. Navigate into the blank project you wish to set up your connectors in
2. Navigate to Project Administration > Connectors to see your list of connectors. (This list should be blank)
3. Click the Clone Connector from Project button.
4. Select the project you wish to clone the connectors from.
5. Click Submit.
You're all done! You should see the connectors from the other project show up in this project's connector's list, and you can immediately start using those connectors to import data and create tickets.
